Clean Air Task Force funds policy, scientific and technical work aimed at cutting greenhouse gas emissions at scale, including on carbon capture, methane, hydrogen and advanced nuclear and geothermal energy. Giving Green and Founders Pledge have both recommended it as a top climate charity since 2020, citing a track record of real national policy wins.

A very different climate gift from the tree-planting and land-purchase options nearby: this funds policy advocacy aimed at national energy systems, which evaluators estimate can avert a tonne of CO2 for roughly $0.10-$1, far cheaper than planting-based offsets. That figure comes from modelling of past campaigns, not a guarantee for future ones.
