Fight poverty and inequality with Oxfam

Oxfam is a confederation of NGOs working to end poverty, hunger and injustice by tackling its root causes; in 2024-25 it reached more than 14.26 million people with local partners. It also runs an Emergency Response fund for rapid disaster relief worldwide, alongside longer-term campaigning on issues like inequality and trade policy.

Our take

A broad poverty-and-inequality gift with a built-in emergency-response angle — a reasonable default if you want one charity covering both long-term development and disaster relief. Reaching more than 14 million people through local partners also means the actual delivery of aid happens through organisations already rooted in each community, not Oxfam staff flown in from elsewhere.
